Answers to Many Commonly Asked Questions.
What is a traveling Medical Professional (MP)?
A traveling MP is a fully certified and carefully screened medical professional who is assigned to work for a pre-determined time period at clinics and hospitals around the country. Traveling MPs often have additional state licensures and broader skills because of their diverse experiences working for many different managers and types of facilities.
Who uses traveling MPs?
Hospitals and clinics of all sizes and in all areas of the country use traveling MPs to supplement their staff to ensure top quality care for their patients, and less stress for their permanent staff. Titan’s clients range from small community hospitals and clinics to some of the largest and most prestigious research hospitals in the country.
Why do companies typically use traveling MPs?
Traveling MPs can step right into a position with no extra training and can immediately assist the permanent staff to reduce their workload while maintaining superior patient care. Traveling MPs are useful when permanent employees take leaves of absence or vacation. They also alleviate tight market conditions, changes in census, and many other situations. As administrators work to fill open positions or hire more permanent staff, traveling MPs can fill the gap, providing top-quality patient care.

Inadequate staffing can actually be quite expensive when administrators consider the cost of higher overtime for permanent employees, greater chance of turnover, possible diminished patient care and the lost opportunities of help more patients.
