POSITION SUMMARY
Aurora Medical Center Grafton is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join the MRI department. The technologist will perform high-quality MRI imaging procedures using 3T and 1.5T Siemens magnets under the oversight of a radiologist. This role supports a Level III Trauma Center, Level II NICU, and Primary Stroke Center and requires strong technical ability, patient care excellence, and the capacity to work independently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine and advanced MRI examinations, including high-end studies such as breast, prostate, and cardiac imaging.
Deliver safe, compassionate patient care in accordance with facility and imaging standards.
Operate Siemens 3T and 1.5T MRI equipment.
Maintain knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI safety.
Communicate effectively with radiologists, providers, patients, and team members.
Complete documentation and workflows within the Epic charting system.
Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Licensure/Certification
Registered Technologist (RT) with ARRT AND
ARRT (MRI) OR
CAMRT (MRI) OR
ARMRIT
BLS certification
Education
Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology; advanced training beyond high school.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of MRI experience (first-time travelers considered upon review).
Skills
Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI safety.
Competent in IV placement and venipuncture (if required).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently.
Intermediate computer skills.
